Award Overview

The MCUF Community Enrichment Award recognizes a credit union or chapter for one outstanding community impact initiative aimed at improving the financial wellbeing of people, families, businesses, or communities in Michigan in one of these impact target areas:

• Financial inclusion initiatives
• Assisting low-income, underbanked, underserved, or minority communities
• Small business support
• Financial wellness, education and counseling initiatives
• Community crisis support

Application Components Application submission must describe how some or all of the award criteria are met.	Requirements Submission may contain links to additional information, such as photos, videos, resources, etc.	Possible Points Awards will be evaluated and scored, based on each application component.
Need Addressed: Describe what need or problem the credit union or chapter’s community enrichment iniative addressed. Describe how the credit union or chapter identified the need and why they chose to help.	1 page max	20
Activities and Initiatives:   Describe the activities and initiatives used by the credit union or chapter to address the need identified.	2 pages max	35
Other Notable Criteria: Did the credit union or chapter work with community partners or other organizations to identify needs or to provide solutiuons? Was there collaboration with other credit unions? Share any research or ongoing program plans.	1 page max	25
Supporting Documents: Provide letters of appreciation or support that address the credit union or chapter’s role in the identified community activity/initiative. Provide any supporting communications and/or media regarding the identified community activity/initiative.	2-5 letters/support documents max	20

Any nominations submitted may be featured in various MCUL and MCUF materials to demonstrate how credit unions and their leaders benefit their communities. Submission of a nomination indicates approval for MCUL and MCUF to use the nomination materials in its publications and advocacy efforts.
