Financial Wellbeing Champion Award

Award Overview

The MCUF Financial Wellbeing Champion Award recognizes an individual for outstanding activities and impact in increasing member and community financial health. Because this award recognizes an individual’s achievements, rather than overall credit union activities, submissions should describe how the person nominated met these components.

Application submission must describe how some or all of the award criteria are met

Requirements

Submission may contain links to additional information, such as photos, videos, resources, etc.

Possible Points

Awards will be evaluated and scored, based on each application component.

Financial Health Initiatives

  • Describe the nominee’s initiatives to improve financial wellbeing of their community and/or members.
  • Describe any creative and innovative materials or methods the nominee developed or uses.
  • Describe any financial inclusion efforts the nominee used to reach financially vulnerable people or communities.

Financial Wellbeing Impact

  • What was the impact of the nominee’s efforts in improving financial wellbeing?
  • How has the nominee’s efforts helped the credit union overall? Describe how the nominee has helped position the credit union for success over the past year through financial health initiatives.
 1-2 pages max 40

Letters of Support

  • Provide leters of support that address the author’s first-hand knowledge of the nominee in relation to the award criteria listed above.
2-5 letters max 20

Please submit all documents and support material online through the form above. All sections should be submitted in one document with sections clearly defined.

Any nomination submitted may be featured in various MCUL and MCUF materials to demonstrate how credit unions and their leaders benefit their communities. Submission of a nomination indicates approval for the MCUL and MCUF to use the nomination materials in its publications and advocacy efforts.
